Case Study
NCR Resolution & Drawing Redlines for Production Support
Supported manufacturing builds by resolving NCRs and redlining drawings to reduce ambiguity and keep hardware moving.
Problem
Build issues and unclear documentation created slowdowns and rework risk during manufacturing and integration, requiring fast, accurate clarification of design intent.

Non-conformance support, drawing redlines, and documentation updates (no design authority).
Tools & Skills
Results
- Investigated non-conformances and documented findings to support corrective actions and next-build execution.
- Produced drawing redlines and documentation updates that clarified build steps and reduced back-and-forth on the floor.
- Coordinated with engineers and technicians to close gaps between design intent and manufacturing reality.
Details are generalized; no proprietary part numbers, drawings, or internal reports are shown.
Where it started
Production had accumulated multiple non-conformance reports (NCRs), some of which had remained open for extended periods.
Several issues involved unclear documentation or insufficient guidance for rework, slowing resolution and increasing uncertainty on the shop floor.
How I contributed
Took ownership of reviewing aged NCRs by locating failed parts, performing inspections, and assessing whether corrective action or scrapping was appropriate.
Worked directly with technicians and engineers to validate findings and ensure no critical constraints or design considerations were overlooked.
Supported drawing updates and redlines to improve clarity during rework, including added imagery, pinouts, and callouts to better guide technicians.
Helped implement documentation improvements aimed at preventing repeat NCRs on future builds.
